malaysia economic transformation programme... to achieve the wawasan 2020 + high income nation

it was presented by YB Senator Dato Sri Idris Jala yesterday in PICC...and launched new economic model - high income, inclusiveness, and sustainability... and set out the 12 national key economic areas(NKEAs) under the 10th Malaysia Plan are oil, gas and energy; palm oil; financial services; tourism; business services; electrical and electronics; wholesale and retail; education; healthcare; communications, content and infrastructure; agriculture and Greater Kuala Lumpur. Lab members met for eight weeks before coming up with the proposals.

of cos we could know that generally this is again the programme for improve the rural, infrastructure and reduce the poverty... and eventually create 3.3million employment opportunities, attract more FDI, and better balance of trade..

but is it too late to start this??? why not start as earlier as possible... see how china do??? they start to reform later than us... but.. they are way ahead from us lo... sad dao

the following are the extract from the programme (which I m concern lol)

• promote Greater KL - building a premier shopping district from KLCC - Bukit Bintang & IMBI (wat for this??? since we have so nice landscape and it's so far between each other... i can anticipate that the bridge wont give any good skycrappin lo...and it's unlike orchard lo)
• builing a neuclear plant in 2021 (non sense.. where have so many natural resources.. wat need to spend for this??)
• set up 21 GEDUING 1 MALAYSIA in 2020 to promote our buatan malaysia...(this is cool...)
• to build a fast speed train track from penang to KL to SIngapore at the speed of 250km/h; and
• build a MRT in KLANG VALLEY (shud at least built as sophisticated enugh to connect all city)..

I would not believe that the programme is effective and complete enough to improve our economy and create enough job opportunities and impossible to boost the citizen income as a whole lo... GNI may be possible. but not all citizen lo... mean the wealth & poverty gap is still exist lo...

beside the greater KL shud not be inside the programme since KL is already become one of the world most suitable city .... unless it shud expand the geographical to cheras, kepong, klang, damansara, subang, till putrajaya... then will be enough ba... right/?? other than that... it shud be the chance for other state i.e. east coast, iskandar district, sabah and sarawak which would more effective bring in more FDI and embrace our tourism...since we have so many beautiful beaches oso right??

OTHER THAN THAT... the KTM expansion is so contradicting to the plan oso... i remember i come across with the thread that the govt reject YTL bullet train plan from KL to singapore because not in the budget, and not economical enough... and it will spend so long to expand now... if the govt got far vision enough.. i think the bullet train is ready d lo... and i dun need to take bus d... so kolian de me..

HAIZ... it's another plan which not effective lo...and i say... we shud need more this kind of programme and at least ... offers more incentive to attract FDI to improve our infrastructure and living condition lo... (not yet living style)

HAIZ... disappointed
