ladies and gentlemen ... may i present the concepts car will be launched in GEVENA car show 4 days later... LEt the show begin.... (slideshow??) cheh

The four-seat, five-door hatchback is 3550mm in length,(that’s a good 360mm shorter than the Proton Savvy.. wtf ^^) and uses a range-extender drivetrain with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that can run on petrol, ethanol or methanol. But Giugiaro says it is "set to revolutionise traditional segmentation in the car market" and "was developed with the aim of optimising the available onboard space and car access ergonomics".
The car, which is built on an all-new, Giugiaro-designed platform, is higher than a traditional supermini, and has a raised floorpan that accommodates the hybrid system’s batteries at the rear.
The proton concept car will be using this Lotus Range Extender Engine 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine. Its power/torque curve is optimised for 2 power generation points – 15kW (20hp) at 1,500rpm and 35kW (47hp) at 3,500rpm, which by the way is also its redline. The engine is most fuel efficient at these points in the RPM range so it can just run at these speeds without having to go into the other inefficient ranges because it does not drive the wheels directly. Peak torque is 107Nm at 2,500rpm.

The engine is a single cam engine with 2 valves per cylinder on a 10.0:1 compression ratio. It uses a monoblock construction with an integrated exhaust manifold, which means the head and block are integrated, removing the need for a head gasket. 17 parts are eliminated thanks to this and the water jacket can be optimised – the result is a dry weight of only 56kg. No fancy direct injection here – fuel is delivered via port injection and the minimum octane requirement is RON95. It can also run on ethanol or methanol.
Further pictures and details are set to be revealed ahead of its Geneva motor show unveiling on 2 March. (from the news the our EX-PM will be there.. i think everyone know who is it right haha)... let see
before the reveal... actually i think the proton has revealed of the details (some already mentioned above)..
* The car is a creative collaboration with Italdesign Giugiaro.
* The concept car will have 5 doors and will seat 4.
* It is 3,550 mm in length, which is approximately a good half a meter longer
than the Toyota iQ but shorter than the Proton Savvy.
* The four seats will be independently adjustable and slideable.
* The car will use a series hybrid drive. A combustion engine will be mounted at
the front and will be used only to recharge lithium ion batteries.
* The lithium ion batteries will drive the motor that moves the car.
* It uses a special chassis with a raise floor that allows installation of the
regular combustion engine at the front and batteries in the rear
* According to Italdesign chairman Giorgetto Giugiaro, the car was designed to
offer interior spaciousness of a D-segment car with the exterior dimensions of
an A-segment car.
* The hip point is designed to be at just the right natural and ergonomic
height – you do not get down into the car like a short sedan or “climb” up
into the car like an SUV.
